Profile
Bokashicycle systems are used to process food waste converting it all (vegetables, fruits, meat, bones, dairy products, egg shells, etc.)to soil nutrients that can then feed your plants making them vigorous and healthy. This process improves soil microbial diversity. It is 10 x faster than composting and is most importantly non-polluting because greenhouse gases are eliminated.
Garbage rotting smells are eliminated, vermin and insects are not attracted to your processed (fermented) food scraps, and it is very easy to do right in your own kitchen. With this system you will no longer have to place your food waste curbside.
You bury the fermented product in the soil and it is rapidly in about 1 week taken up by soil microbes leaving nothing but rich nutrients for the plants to then use in their growth. The bokashi tea produced in the process is an excellent way to feed your house plants.
Environmental Commitment
Bokashicycle is committed to educating the public about this process. We want to put in place a sustainable farming community.
We are committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions at every home. Food waste however it is processed unless fermented in the bokashi process (acidic anaerobic fermentation) will release into the atmosphere each year tons of carbon dioxide and other noxious gases.
Our soils have been poisoned by over use of fertilizers and pesticides, by the thoughtless dumping of chemicals and inappropriate use of land. We are committed to restoring the population and diversity of soil microbes using the bokashi fermentation systems.
The farms and markets should be brought back into the cycle. By restoring soil microbes, increasing crop yields and reducing the dependence on pesticides and fertilizers, we are re-establishing a qaulity food network between farmers and consumers. In this process we reduce dependence on petro chemicals used to make fertilizers, etc.
