The Center for Biological Diversity works to secure a future for all species hovering on the brink of extinction. Through science, law, and creative media the center focuses on protecting the lands, waters and climate, necessary for species survival. The welfare of human beings is deeply linked to nature: The existence in our world of a vast diversity of wild animals and plants has intrinsic value, and its loss impoverishes society now and for those who come after us.

BIODIVERSITY
Protect and recover endangered species and the wild places they need to survive.

CLIMATE LAW INSTITUTE
Protect species and habitats from global warming by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution.

INTERNATIONAL
Protect global biodiversity where current U.S. law has the power to do so and by watchdogging U.S. actions affecting endangered species in other parts of the world.

OCEANS
Protect and recover all marine species and ocean habitats subject to U.S. law.

PUBLIC LANDS
