The Cowichan Community Land Trust Society (CCLT) is a registered non-profit charitable organization dedicated to the conservation and protection of natural areas in and near the Cowichan Valley Regional District, British Columbia, Canada.
CCLT was formed in 1995 by concerned residents who wished to help landowners find alternatives to the destruction of natural areas and wildlife habitat.
CCLT raises funds through memberships and donations from individuals, businesses, government and foundations.

In the face of increasing pressure on land, CCLT is committed to conserving, protecting, and enhancing the quality of the human and natural environment in and near the Cowichan Valley Regional District, British Columbia, Canada.

Social Commitment

A Land Trust is a provincially or federally registered non-profit charitable society.

Land Trusts operate for the benefit of all living things, and are dedicated to the conservation, protection and management of our natural heritage. The conservation of privately owned land is done through public education programs, cooperative landowner contact and stewardship programs, holding conservation covenants, land purchases and donations.
